On this video we wish to use our cross multiplication data from the earlier movies to unravel the equation 2 over x plus four equals Three divided by 5. The very first thing we have to do is cross multiply this equation and increase the brackets. This provides us 2 occasions 5 is the same as Three open brackets x plus four shut brackets. After increasing these brackets we get 10 equals 3x + 12. Now we have to isolate x by including the like phrases. We do that by subtracting 12 from each side of the equation. This provides us 10 minus 12 equals 3x. 10 minus 12 is unfavourable 2. So now we’re left with unfavourable 2 equals 3x. X continues to be not remoted so we have to divide each side of the equation by 3. This provides us x is the same as unfavourable 2 over 3.
