At 23:29, that was correct you always divide by whatever is in front of x. The rules for dividing fractions is what is tripping you up.

This time I was paying attention and what went wrong is that you forgot to convert the mixed fraction to an improper fraction and then multiply by the reciprocal to isolate the x. Hope that helps.
By the way, what you discovered is another way to find the solution but what's throwing you off is leaving the fraction in mixed form.
